With footprints in both Los Olivos and Santa Barbara, Urquidez Building Corporation has been serving home and business owners alike since 2013 on custom, high-end construction projects. We may be ten years young, but UBC’s roots in construction trace back to the first Urquidez family construction company. Here’s a bit more on how our business began.
Building On a Legacy
Growing up in and around construction, owner Chris Urquidez has had a lifelong desire to manage large-scale construction works in the local community. As a young adult, he continued to explore the world of construction, seeking opportunities with large commercial firms in Los Angeles and Orange County. Back in Santa Ynez, the original family business was winding down, focusing on a handful of loyal clients. After six years in SoCal, Chris and Laura Urquidez made their way home to the valley, where they spearheaded the unveiling of UBC as it is known today.
The Evolution of Our Expertise
Urquidez Building Corporation remains true to its tradition of carrying out high-end residential projects, but our building techniques and overall ethos have evolved significantly. We have worked hard to construct a set of core values that serve as the heartbeat behind every project we work on. Trust is the cornerstone of our reputation, and we take immense pride in doing what we say we’ll do, doing it well, all while maintaining strong relationships with clients and partners. We strive to be more than just skilled tradespeople; we aim to cultivate solid ethics and sincere partnerships with our clients.
Values that Follow Through
On a yearly basis, our team manages around thirty projects of varying sizes, ranging from small, single-day tasks to more substantial endeavors with budgets spanning from $10,000 to $8 million. We thrive on new construction ventures – here, we are able to utilize our comprehensive planning and construction management skills. We prefer to be involved with clients from the early stages on, working closely with the project team to ensure a seamless process from start to finish.
Today, it is our team that serves as the glue holding this all together, fostering a sense of trust and camaraderie. As we continue growing, our hope is that clients know and trust UBC based on our commitment to our values.
